Kampa Bunkie Review

Kampa Bunkie Review

We would just like to thank Jeremy one of our loyal customer who went out his way to give us this great review about his new Kampa Bunkie, which if you are not sure what this is its a camping bunk bed, as its a relatively new product on the market its nice to hear people thoughts on this.

What Jermey had to say about the Kampa Bunkie Bed

I had been monitoring this product 'Kampa Bunkie' for the last year & have seen very little reviews for it & the closet alternative is triple the price of this one, so it could be that people are dubious about buying this as it is the cheaper option... I decided to go for it & make my own judgement, which I am going to share with you now... As an organiser of several events for a Single Parent Group & an Ex Akela (Cub Scout Leader) I am not adverse to a camping bargain & ensuring no one misses out on a bargain when one comes about!

This will not disappoint! The photo's really don't do it justice! It took 20mins to assemble & 5 mins to put away! It all fits in a strong durable bag (that it comes with) the size of a 3 bed tent & weighs 17kg when packed. The strong canvas bedding areas have a slim built in memory foam? Pillow area too, so if it is a quick emergency set up, no screws or bolts involved, with 4 large taught straps to adjust the tension at one end of each bed & to aid assembly too... It all slots together to create a very sturdy frame with a centre foot at each end of the bottom bunk for stability. Each bed takes 100kg & has been tested with Adults as well as Children. If you were really in two minds about whether to go for this cheaper model, I would highly recommend it, as extremely comfortable as very much a hammock feel to sleeping & the gap between the two is adequate despite them standing at about 4 foot high in total, once assembled. I purchased it online with a 15% off code from Newquay Camping & received it within 2 days of purchase with a 1 hour delivery time slot from DPD (delivery was £5.99) & I live the opposite side of the country to Newquay. (Again the post is down the page somewhere, posted by another member), so all in all, it cost £90.99 including delivery & I couldn't be happier to have gone for it & will certainly get a lot of use at home for guest sleepovers & away when camping. Hope this helps people to decide! Thanks for listening.

Jeremy has since used this bed for his camping holiday over Easter, and he said his 2 teenage son that are the size of adults used this for this trip and they both had great night sleeps on the Bunkie beds and would highly recommend this to anyone after some camping bunk beds
