Trevedra Farm is one of Cornwall's most dramatic campsites — a working farm on the clifftops near St Just, at the far western tip of the Penwith peninsula. If you want Atlantic views, big skies, and the feeling of being genuinely out on the edge of England, this is the site for you. It's not for everyone, but for the right camper it's unforgettable.

Location

Trevedra Farm sits just outside St Just, roughly 6 miles north of Land's End and a short drive from Sennen Cove and Porthcurno. The site is elevated and exposed, with views across the Atlantic that are genuinely spectacular — particularly at sunset. The South West Coast Path runs nearby, making it an excellent base for walking the Penwith coastline.

The Pitches

Pitches are on grass across several fields, with a mix of open and slightly more sheltered spots depending on where you pitch. Being clifftop and west-facing, the site catches the prevailing Atlantic wind — this is not a site for a lightweight festival tent or anything with a low hydrostatic head rating. Electric hook-up pitches are available for those who need them.

Facilities

Facilities are honest and functional rather than resort-style — clean showers, toilets, and the basics you need for a comfortable stay. The farm setting keeps things grounded and unpretentious, which is part of the appeal. This is a proper camping experience rather than a glamping holiday.

What Tent Works Best at Trevedra

Given the exposed clifftop position and the Atlantic weather that comes with it, you want a tent with a high hydrostatic head rating and a robust structure. We'd recommend:

• Fabsil waterproofer — reproof your tent before you go if it's been a while
• Layers — even in summer, evenings on the Penwith clifftops are cool

Nearest Beach

Sennen Cove is the closest beach and one of Cornwall's finest — a long arc of white sand with reliable surf and a good café. Cape Cornwall is a short walk and worth the detour for the views. Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre are around 20 minutes by car.

Verdict

Trevedra Farm is a site that rewards campers who come prepared. Bring a weatherproof tent, peg it out properly, and you'll be rewarded with some of the most spectacular camping in Cornwall. Not suitable for those who want resort facilities or shelter from the elements — but if you want the real thing, this is it.
