Every Tay shares the same core construction — Protex 70D polyester flysheet with a 3,000mm hydrostatic head, factory-taped seams, and a waterproof PE groundsheet. The Gothic Arch pole adds stability at the entrance, Crystal Clear PVC windows brighten the porch, and the inner-first pitch system means you can be under canvas in about 10 minutes. All sizes are wind and rain tested to EN ISO 5912.
Vango Tay 200 — Best for solo campers and festival pairs
The lightest and most compact of the range at 3.24 kg and 59 × 17 cm packed, the Tay 200 is the easiest to carry and the quickest to pitch. It's designed for two people but works well as a spacious solo tent. At £63.99 it's the most affordable entry point into the Tay range.
It's a great choice for festival camping — easy to carry in on foot, quick to set up, and compact enough to store under a bunk or against a fence. It's also a solid option for a couple who want something easy for weekend breaks in Cornwall or Devon, where pitch sizes are often smaller.

Vango Tay 300 — Best for couples wanting extra space, or three people
The Tay 300 is the mid-point of the range — enough space for three people or a comfortable two. Weighing 4.02 kg with a 63 × 18 cm pack size, it's only slightly larger than the 200 but offers meaningfully more interior room. At £69.99 it's only £6 more than the 200, making it excellent value if you want the extra space.
It's the right choice for two people who want to spread out, or a group of three happy to share a cosy tent for a festival weekend.

Vango Tay 400 — Best for groups of three to four
The Tay 400 is the biggest tent in the range and the right choice for 3–4 people. At 4.84 kg and 70 × 18 cm packed, it's still straightforward to carry and transport, but offers the most interior and porch space of the three. At £97.99 it's a price jump from the 300, but for a group of four splitting the cost it's very reasonable.

For a couple doing a weekend break on a Cornish campsite, the Tay 200 is the practical choice — light, compact, and at £63.99 easy to justify for occasional use. If you camp regularly as a couple or want the extra space, spend the extra £6 and go for the Tay 300.
For a group of friends heading to a South West festival — Boardmasters, Leopallooza, or similar — the Tay 400 gives you the most space per pound and is still easy enough to carry in on foot.
