The Photon is built around a CREE LED pushing out 150 lumens through a collimator lens, which throws light further down the trail while still giving you soft peripheral lighting so you're not walking through a tunnel of darkness either side. Front and rear red LEDs help preserve your night vision and keep you visible to others, both with flash and steady modes. The head unit detaches from the strap too, so it clips onto pack webbing or a tent pocket if you'd rather not wear it on your head.
