Wetsuits and Aqua Shoes

Newquay is one of the UK's surf capitals, and the Atlantic waters off Cornwall are best enjoyed in a good wetsuit. Whether you're a seasoned surfer, a bodyboarder, a wild swimmer, or just getting the kids into the sea for the first time, the right wetsuit makes all the difference to your comfort and time in the water.

The sea temperature around Newquay and the wider Cornwall coast averages 14–17°C in summer, dropping to around 9–11°C in winter. As a guide:

• Summer (June–September): 3/2mm full wetsuit or shorty
• Spring & Autumn (April–May, October–November): 4/3mm full wetsuit
• Winter (December–March): 5/4mm or 5/3mm with hood, boots and gloves

We also stock aqua shoes for rocky beaches, rock pooling, and water sports where foot protection matters. Lightweight, quick-drying, and grippy on wet surfaces, they're a practical addition to any beach kit.
