How long does the battery last?
A full charge gives you approximately 8 hours of use, depending on which brightness setting you're using. It takes around 3 hours to fully recharge via USB.
Does the Amber setting actually stop midges and mosquitoes?
The Amber mode uses a colour temperature that's far less attractive to midges and mosquitoes than standard white light, so you get usable light without drawing insects toward you. It's a different mechanism to the UV killer, which actively eliminates any bugs already in the area.

United KingdomThe Lumi mosi light is so useful. We use it as a night light. It has a softer light setting as well as 3 brighter white light settings. It is great for catching mosquitos and other biting bugs. It can be stood on its end like a lamp or hung up from its hook. Very pleased with this product.

United KingdomI have not used it in a camping setting as yet due to COVID-19 restrictions but I have hung it in the kitchen to try it out and it's a great little item that chucks out loads of light for it's size. With multiple light settings, from warm (yellow) light to bright (white) light, it would make a perfect night light too! The insect-o-cutor adds that extra touch to help make your camping trip both illuminating and bug free!
